What is GA-THERE?
GA-THERE is a nonprofit program that was created with a simple mission: to help passionate and motivated young people turn their dreams into reality. The program lasts one year and is organized into five channels designed for different goals:
- Junior Academic — for those aiming to enter college or secure an undergraduate scholarship
- Senior Academic — for aspiring Ph.D. candidates.
- Professional — for those seeking to enter the job market in a specific sector.
- Startup — for those who dream of launching a business.
- “None of the above ” — for those with an unconventional dream (even becoming an astronaut!).
What does it offer?
Each participant will be supervised by a multidisciplinary team of young researchers or professionals, mostly Italian, scattered around the world, who have attended the best universities (Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford…). A program of excellence, “from young people, for young people”: mentors are on average 5-10 years older than the participants to ensure generational closeness and maximum empathy.
The program is completely free and provides a structured pathway to help each participant achieve their goal. Specifically:
- Personalized mentorship: each participant is mentored by one or two mentors for ongoing support and periodic meetings.
- Tuition on practical skills rarely taught in school (applications, CV writing, interview preparation, etc.).
- Training on Artificial Intelligence, essential to prepare for tomorrow’s job market.
- Scholarships to support internships and study abroad experiences.
- Final event, fostering peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and community building.
Who Can Apply
GA-THERE is available for young people aged 16 to 30 (24 to 35 for the Startup track) who are motivated and passionate for their life dream, but may lack the tools, resources, or network to make it happen.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The program is completely free for all participants, thanks to the support of partners and donors.
How to apply?
Applications for the 2025 program open November 24, 2025 and close December 31, 2025.
Selection outcomes will be announced in early 2026.
