Code of Ethics

Foreword

The Ga-There Project was established for the purpose of accompanying and supporting young people, indicatively between the ages of XX and XX, in the pursuit of their educational and professional goals through a 12-month mentoring program. The Project is based on core values such as respect, inclusion, responsibility and mutual trust. This Code of Ethics defines the guiding principles, rules of conduct, and operating procedures that all those involved (mentors, mentees, volunteers, and collaborators) are required to observe to ensure a safe, constructive, and transparent environment.

Article 1 – Fundamental Values

All participants in the Ga-there Project pledge to observe and promote the following core values:

1. Mutual respect: welcoming and valuing the cultural, personal and professional diversity of each participant.

2. Active listening and support: every mentoring relationship is based on empathy, attentive listening, and a willingness to support the mentee’s development.

3. Accountability: each party involved agrees to abide by the Project’s timelines, objectives, and modalities.

4. Transparency and honesty: Communication between mentor and mentee should be clear, truthful, and geared toward personal and professional growth.

5. Confidentiality: personal information and content shared under the program must be treated with the utmost discretion.

Article 3 – Communications and Interactions

Communications between participants must always take place in an atmosphere of civility and respect, whether through digital means or in person. Any discriminatory, aggressive, offensive or harassing behavior, even in indirect or implied form, is expressly prohibited. Interactions must maintain a professional and appropriate tone, avoiding involvements of a personal or emotional nature. Conflicts of interest or abuse of power or unethical dependency relationships are not permitted.

Article 4 – Duration and Conclusion of Mentoring

The mentoring relationship can be terminated at any time by either party through clear, formal and respectful communication. Upon completion, both parties are invited to provide feedback and reflections on the experience.

Article 5 – Confidentiality and Protection of Personal Data

All personal data and content shared as part of the Project (curriculum vitae, objectives, messages, personalized pacts) are protected by current legislation and must be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Any unauthorized disclosure of content or information related to the Project or its participants is prohibited.

Article 6 – Reporting and Violations

Every participant has the right and the duty to report behavior that does not comply with this Code of Ethics. Reports will be treated confidentially and with care by the Project coordination team. In case of a serious violation, the organization reserves the right to suspend or exclude the participant involved.
