Viviana Viggiano
Theoretical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Piano

After completing the International Classical High School with a German option, Viviana Viggiano decided to study Physics while continuing piano studies at the Conservatory. In 2021, she earned with honors both a Previgente Ordinamento Diploma in Piano at the Conservatory of Matera and a Master’s in Theoretical Physics at the University of Bari. She won the National “Milla Baldo Ceolin” Prize from the National Institute of Nuclear Physics for the “Women in Theoretical Physics” competition, which recognized the five best master’s theses in 2021 defended by women in Theoretical Physics. She is currently a PhD student in the QUANTUM group at the University of Bari, conducting research on collective effects in radiation-matter interaction in macroscopic quantum systems under the European QuantERA PACE-IN project. She is passionate about science communication, collaborating with the international magazine Physics World.
